Symposium slated for Nov. 17 through 19
The annual MUSC AIDS Symposium is scheduled for Nov. 17 -
19. This multi-disciplinary meeting will present a broad overview of the
scientific and social problems raised by the AIDS epidemic.
Invited speakers of international stature, faculty from several MUSC
departments and patients and members of the community involved in the fight
against AIDS/HIV will participate in the event. The symposium is organized
as a Continuing Education professional meeting and as an integral part
of the curriculum for medical, dental, physician assistant students, and
graduate students in the microbiology program.
This year’s symposium is supported by the Alpha chapter of the Alpha-Omega-Alpha
(AOA) Honor Medical Association, the Office of Continuing Medical Education,
the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Bristol-Myers Squibb and
Glaxo Wellcome Inc.
