Design chosen to represent Cooper River Bridge Run

Mount Pleasant artist John Crain’s vibrant painting titled, “Gone Running,” was selected among 60 design entries to represent this year’s 23rd Annual Cooper River Bridge Run.   Crain’s work has been featured in the official T-shirt design, posters, souvenir magazine and other advertising materials for the April 1 event.

This is the eighth year the Bridge Run committee has sponsored a design contest. They announced the contest results Oct. 7.

The committee also presented honorary certificates to eight runners-up and one youth winner. Members of the design contest’s jury included Bridge Run staff, advertising professionals and prominent local artists. The design recently won a Silver Addy Award for poster design from the Charleston Chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
