Carnival raises $3,000 for Children's Miracle Network

Good food, good music and a great cause—a three-day carnival held last week in the Horseshoe raised more than $3,000 for the Children's Miracle Network.

MUSC faculty, staff, patients and visitors enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers served hot off the grill by MUSC Dietary and other good eats by Great Wall Restaurant and Martha Lou's. F

lavorich provided gallons of ice cream dipped and topped by some of MUSC's own celebrities. The Homeboy Discount Band, Karoke with Dan Rose, and Pastor Rick Roberts and Greg Butler entertained carnival goers. One-hundred percent of funds generated through events like these for the Children's Miracle Network support the MUSC Children's Hospital.

The Children's Miracle Network annual Weekend of Champions will be held June 5 and 6 on WCSC-TV 5. MUSC faculty and staff will have another chance to support the Children's Miracle Network by purchasing and wearing “Be a Champion for Kids” T-Shirts.
