Trident
United Way campaign kicks off
The
Trident United Way kicked off its MUSC campaign on Sept. 29 with a celebration
at the Sebring-Aimar House. Department of Surgery Chair Dr. Fred Crawford,
far left, will lead this year’s effort in an attempt to raise $235,000
for Lowcountry United Way programs. Also attending the celebration was,
from right, Trident United Way director Chris Kerrigan, MUSC president
Dr. Ray Greenberg, and Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of the American Red
Cross’ Cathy Burriss and Denise Aiken-Daniels.
Agencies depend on community support
Dear Colleague:
Each of us has a responsibility to the community in which we live.
As chair of the 2000 Trident United Way campaign, I want to ask for your
support and help make this campaign a success. MUSC/MUHA/UMA/CFC values
our partnership with Trident United Way in helping to make the Lowcountry
a wonderful place to work, live and play.
When we contribute our personal financial resources to caring for children,
the elderly, the hungry and the hurt, we make an investment in the world
where our children grow and learn. Whether it is dealing with drug abuse
or providing quality childcare, Trident United Way is finding solutions
for our community.
MUSC/MUHA/UMA/CFC employees have an opportunity to make a tremendous
impact on Trident United Way's community campaign and the vital program
is supports. Through Trident United Way-funded programs last year alone,
more than one in three tri-county residents were helped by people like
you and me!
I encourage each of you to make an impact on our community. Make a gift
today and you will reach out to your community, help your fellow man, improve
someone's life and make a difference by starting with “The Power of U.”
Sincerely,
Fred A. Crawford Jr., M.D.
