MUSC parking fees to increase July 1 On May 18, the MUSC Board of Trustees approved a comprehensive four-year plan to overhaul the parking rates charged by the university to staff, students, patients, and visitors.  The rates will enable the university to work towards filling an identified 3,000 parking space deficit.  The proposed fees are within the range of current market prices of similar parking facilities in the Charleston area.  The fiscal year 2001 rates will be effective on July 1. Subsequent year rates will be activated only after review of the financial results of the previous year.  Rate changes may be less than the amount indicated for that year but will not exceed it without prior approval by the Board.
