Susie F. Edwards named MUSC’s budget director Susie F. Edwards, CPA, was named budget director for MUSC. Edwards has been serving as interim director of the Budget Office since June 1.  She has also worked as manager of the Cash Management function in the Tax and Cash Management division of Financial Management and was formerly a managing analyst in the Budget Office. Edwards  has more than 10 years experience in governmental, public, and private accounting. She received her B. S. degree in accounting from Clemson University and began her career working for the SC State Auditor’s Office. Susie also worked in the private sector in both Atlanta and Charleston before accepting a position with MUSC in April 1997.  As MUSC budget director she will be responsible for the overall MUSC budget process.  Activities of the Budget Office include coordination of budgetary, expenditure, and formula information for submission to the State Budget Office; monitoring legislative activity to determine the financial impact on state appropriations and the allocation of budgeted funds to university departments.
