Department: Pediatric Cardiology. How long at MUSC: One year. Where you were born: Gainesville, Fla. Favorite book: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter Thompson. Favorite movie: Good Will Hunting. What do you like the most about Charleston? Living so close to the ocean. Fondest childhood memory: My grandfather, who was a foreign correspondent for Time magazine, used to tell me the greatest stories when I was a child. Bad habit: I am always late for everything. I think it is genetic. Mentor/person you admire the most: My father who is still a practicing physician after 30 years. Hobbies, activities in your free time: Surfing, fishing, basketball, tennis, and golf. Memorable or latest trip: My month long tour of Europe. Most rewarding thing about your job: Making children feel less scared about their visit to the cath lab. Something people don’t know about you: I used to play piano competitively.
