MUSC
teams with C of C Web site for books
Students and faculty now have a resource for purchasing textbooks
for the summer term using the Web. MUSC and the College of Charleston have
announced an MUSC section on the College of Charleston bookstore Web site.
Students can browse and choose course materials from their Web site at
<http://www.cofcstore.com>.
To visit the site, browsers select “course materials” from the tab
on the left side of the main page and select the school/semester from the
pull-down menu on the next page. Next, the browser enters the specific
class, choose textbooks and proceed to checkout. Before the final checkout,
the purchaser will be asked to create a shopping identity. If textbooks
are in-stock, the books will be shipped immediately.
Students can also visit the bookstore and order books in person.
Book adoption info for faculty
Professors, instructors and course material coordinators are urged
to place their book adoption information for summer and fall 2001 semesters
on file at the College of Charleston bookstore.
To place textbook adoptions, faculty must establish a shopping account
on the bookstore Web site. Next, they must complete and submit a book adoption
form online or by fax to the College of Charleston Bookstore at 953-5602
(fax).
The quality and timeliness of course information available to shoppers
using the College of Charleston Bookstore Web site depends upon the adoption
process. To ensure that textbooks will be available, book adoptions must
be submitted approximately six-weeks prior to the first day of class.
For more information about obtaining book adoption forms and the ordering
process, contact John Runyon, 792-2467.
For questions regarding the use of the bookstore Web site, contact
Kevin Hall, 953-5518.
