New parking fee rates effective July 1 Recent modifications by the President's Council to parking rates established by MUSC's Board of Trustees have produced the following rates effective July 1: The annual registration fee for the Hagood commuter parking lot of $20 will be eliminated. The monthly fee for parking in reserved parking locations which require a bus ride to campus will be reduced from $35 to $20 a month. The parking locations specifically affected by this action are Harborview Tower parking garage (Lot L) and the Lockwood Drive parking lot. The monthly parking rate for all other reserved employee parking locations in the MUSC parking system will increase from $35 to $45 a month. The one-time registration fee for parkers new to the reserved parking system and the annual registration fee for those enrolled in the on-campus after-hours parking program will remain $15. Changes in payroll deduction for monthly parking fees will be handled automatically, so no action by individual employees will be necessary. Parking fees at MUSC are a pre-tax item. The Board-approved hourly rates for MUSC public parking, to be effective July 1,  are as follows:   The rates will be $.75 each half hour or fraction thereof. Since most clinics participate in the hospital-sponsored courtesy parking program, outpatients should not be affected.  The all-day rate for inpatient visitors will continue at the current reduced rate of $2 for 24 hours.
