Seminar to focus on diversity in Hispanic cultureMUSC's Dean of Students in conjunction with the Office of Diversity will host guest speaker and linguist Natan Feldman, president of Brava Bi-lingual Services in Charlotte, N.C., from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Basic Science Building Auditorium.Feldman, who is a native of Peru, will speak on the topic, Diversity in the Hispanic Culture. Feldman and his team of trainers and speakers craft custom-designed programs for training, seminars and workshops, which provide a wide-range of experience that gives a strong foundation and multi-cultural approach to training. The group performs an on-site evaluation of training needs to manage a multi-cultural workforce or selling to a multi-cultural market. A native of Peru, Feldman is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of French. He attended the Karl Mayer Institute in West Germany and received his bachelor of science degree from Philadelphia University (Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science), in Philadelphia, Pa. Feldman has provided valuable guidance for domestic and overseas companies
and institutions. He is a facilitator for management-employee relations,
on-site training in language, cultural competency, communication and other
fields. An engaging speaker, Feldman is also a trainer and a focused seminar
leader.
