Students being recruited for innovative doctoral programThis opportunity only comes along once every two years.MUSC’s doctorate in health administration (DHA) program is recruiting its fourth cohort of students to begin their studies in the fall. The DHA program was designed for upper-level professionals in health care and related fields who seek to advance their knowledge and abilities in the areas of health administration; policy; strategy; information systems; quality improvement; decision analysis; negotiation; applied research; and executive management. The emphasis throughout the three-year curriculum is on leadership. Students are empowered to more effectively lead organizations and develop systems of care for the communities they serve. There are 25 to 30 students admitted to the doctoral program every other year; they complete two years of course work and one year of applied research. Courses are offered in an innovative format that allows working professionals to maintain their current employment, using long weekend sessions and distance learning through the Internet. The application deadline is April 15. After that time, applications
will be accepted until the class is full.
