SGA president welcomes students to MUSCby Gregg Johnson, PresidentMUSC Student Government Association On behalf of your Student Government Association, I am pleased to welcome you to MUSC. This unique environment allows students from a wide variety of medical fields to forge friendships and develop into professionals who respect their colleagues' varying roles in medicine. My desire is that you feel at home in Charleston as you are received into the MUSC family. Gregg Johnson The Student Government Association exists to represent the interests
of the students at MUSC and to be a vessel for action in those interests.
The SGA is present to serve as an official student advocate to those who
make decisions affecting the direction of your education, and your SGA
representatives make a sincere effort to ensure that the voice of the students
is heard. We are extremely fortunate to have a body of administrators who
sincerely desire a terrific experience for MUSC students and listen to
our concerns. SGA is comprised of elected representatives from all the
colleges. Elections for new student representatives are held shortly after
fall or spring classes begin, and I encourage you to take an interest in
your classmates and your education and run for representative of your class.
