DHAP conference slated for Oct. 10

Alumni, students and faculty from the Department of Health Administration and Policy (DHAP) will attend the sixth annual alumni conference today, Oct. 10. This annual event will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites hotel in downtown Charleston.

U.S. Rep. James E. Clyburn (D, S.C.) and U.S. Rep. Bernard “Bernie” Sanders (I, Vermont) will deliver the keynote address, themed America’s Health Care: Taking Our Pulse. This year’s theme focuses on addressing the current and emerging trends taking place within our nation’s health care industry.

The MUSC DHAP Alumni Chapter, which organizes the annual event, brings together a unique network of health care professionals from across the industry and the globe. With more than 100 active members, this group strives to provide quality programs and services that foster mutually-respected relations among alumni, students, faculty, the university, professional associations and the health care industry.

This conference is made possible through the generous support of the following organizations: MUSC College of Health Professions, MUSC Department of Health Administration and Policy, Trio Solutions Inc., Bates Design, Common Craft, Carolina Color, Helms Briscoe and Anne Osborne Kilpatrick, DPA.

Following this year’s conference, the alumni chapter will host a golf tournament on Oct. 11. For information, call 876-1379.
