Meet...Linda

Name: Linda B. McDonald.

Department: Total Joint Replacement Unit.

How long at MUSC: 20 years.

Pets: My 12-year-old horse, Whimsical and her 6-month-old colt, Scarlett. I also have two German shepherds, Pooh Bear and Rhett.

Favorite reading:  John Grisham novels.

Favorite band: Mannheim Steamroller.

Least favorite chore: Dusting.

Special place in the world: The barn/stables.

Fondest childhood memory: Eating pizza picnic style at grandma's on Saturday nights.

Bad habit: Popping chewing gum.

Pet peeve: Tardiness.

Hobbies, activities in your free time: Horseback riding, scrapbooking.

Biggest challenge: Not to be too reactionary in situations. Holding my emotions/opinions to myself.

Idea of a perfect vacation: Cabin in the mountains, cool weather, a good book and a fireplace.

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would you be: An Olympic dressage rider.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Spend it in the barn with a horse.
