Quest for Excellence awards presented

The Division of Finance and Administration presented the Quest for Excellence awards for the second quarter of 2003 at the division's monthly Service Excellence Team meeting on Aug. 1. These awards are designed to recognize employees each quarter who exemplify excellence in job performance.

Nominations are submitted to the vice president for administration and finance at the end of each quarter. The quest for excellence committee,  comprised of 12 members of the Service Excellence Team,  meets and votes to select Quest award winners from a group of qualified nominee's based on  specific quest  criteria. 

Jessica Durr-Shuler from student accounting received the Shining Star Award. This award is given to a new employee with less than one year of service who has demonstrated exemplary performance in either a front-line or behind-the-scenes capacity.

Cathy Hyatt from the university record center received the First Mate Award. This award is given to an employee who has demonstrated exemplary per-formance in a visible customer service capacity. 

Any employee who works for the university can nominate an employee who works for the Division of Finance and Administration for one of three Quest for Excellence awards each quarter. Nomination forms can be attained by  logging on to the Division of Finance and Administration's Web site at http://www.musc.edu/fanda/quest or by logging on to  the MUSC homepage  and choosing Finance and Administration then Quest for Excellence Program.
