Meet...Erica

Name: Erica L. Shipkoski.

Program at MUSC: Dietetic Internship, Digestive Disease Center.

Favorite reading: II Corinthians 1:3-5.

Favorite song: Worlds Apart by Jars of Clay.

Fond childhood memory:  Tagging along on camping trips with my dad and brother.

Bad habit: Classic nail biting.

Pet peeve: Hair on the bathroom floor; dishes in the sink (with an empty dishwasher).

Goals for the future: Practice dietetics as a missionary; counsel patients with eating disorders; and learn to snowboard.

Biggest challenge: Staying positive with discouraging people.

Most rewarding experience: Mission trip to Mexico.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Coffee.

Who inspired you to health care: Judy Crim.

What do you do in your free time:  Go to the beach, volunteer at the ACS Hope Lodge, and bake cookies for the firefighters across the street.

Three things that mean a lot to you: Spending time with my family, accountability, and my cat, Tooncey.

Something you do when no one is watching: Jam out to 80s tunes in my kitchen.

Something you tried once and will never do again: Caviar.
