City you were born: Horton, Kan.

Family: Wife of 23 years, Marilyn, and son Matthew, 18.

Favorite room in the house: The family room.

Favorite reading: Books on history or management. Right now I am reading a book about the management tools of the Navy Seals.

Favorite Web site: Fox News.

Least favorite chore: Laundry.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Ketchup and Miracle Whip.

Fondest childhood memory: Fishing with my grandfather.

Pet peeve: Repeating myself.

Bad habit: I bite my nails.

Hobbies, activities in your free time: I like to read, go to the movies, go hiking and fishing.

What is your biggest challenge at work: Building up our customers' confidence and at the same time getting my employees to be confident that they are doing an important job.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Seeing attitudes change, realizing that we make a difference and that people appreciate what we do. I get satisfaction out of seeing the staff grow as individuals.
