GME Residency Program announces awards Each year, MUSC residents in the College of Medicine are praised and recognized for their talents, knowledge and experience in providing the highest quality of patient care. Some programs have chosen to recognize these physician-residents with special departmental awards. The following is a list of exceptional residents who were presented with awards in 2003: Department of Family Medicine  Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year Award: Daniel B. O’Brien Resident Teaching Award: Stuart M. Leon, M.D.  Student Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching: Megan K. Baker, M.D. Department of Urology Praecis Pharmaceuticals/AUG Gerald P. Murphy Scholar Award: Sunil Sudarshan, PGY-3   The Department of Urology also receives a $7,500 visiting professor scholarship from Pfizer. Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Medical Genetics Pfizer Scholars in Endocrinology Grant Program Award: Stacey R. Condren, M.D. Graduate Periodontics Program Dean’s Award in the College of Health Professions: Lisa S. Ravenel, M.D. Outstanding Student Award: Sandeep Sharma, M.D. Medicine Residency Program Intern of the Year: Glenn Harvin, M.D. Resident of the Year: Brad Vincent, M.D. Fellow of the Year: Cameron Guild, M.D., Cardiology Division Attending of the Year: Julius Sagel, M.D. Division of the Year: Pulmonary Conference Attendance Award: Glenn Harvin, M.D., (averaged 94 percent attendance for the year) Academic Generalist Fellowship American Federation for General Research Outstanding Trainee Award: Matthew P. Davis, M.D. NRSA/AHSR and Health Policy Trainee Travel Award: Michael A.
