Dental library to be named in honor of Gordan Stine

The library in the new James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine will be named in honor of Gordan B. Stine, DDS, in recognition of the former faculty member’s years of leadership and service on behalf of the college.

MUSC President Dr. Ray Greenberg congratulates Dr. Gordan Stine at a reception celebrating the official designation of The Gordan B. Stine Library.

Stine was instrumental in the chartering of the college in the late 1950s and has been a dedicated supporter of the college ever since. The construction of the new library is being made possible through a generous gift from Stine’s son, Robert J. Stine.

The new library will be located in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry area on the fourth floor of the new building.  The room will house 250 multi-functional square feet to provide both library and seminar capabilities for students and faculty.
