Annual Walk to Cure Diabetes slated for Nov. 1

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will host the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Wannamaker County Park. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and will include routes of both five kilometers and one mile.
  
Register for the walk by calling the JDRF office at 763-1973 or by visiting the JDRF Web site at http://www.jdrf.org.
  
Same-day registration will also be available beginning at 8 a.m. at Cypress Hall.
  
MUSC has several team captains from different departments. 
  
If you would like more information on joining an MUSC team, contact Rebecca Jordan at rjordan@jdrf.org. This year, MUSC is a $5,000-level sponsor with Lyndon Key, M.D., serving as the corporate recruitment chair. The foundation hopes to have more than 300 walkers from Team MUSC.

Other activities at this family event include a jump castle and slide and the Strut Your Stuff team T-shirt contest.
