Patient
room telephones scheduled for change
Patient telephones are scheduled to be moved to the MUSC telephone switch
in Rutledge Towers on Wednesday, Dec. 15.
This move will result in a change to a new telphone exchange of 876-
_____ (currently 953-____). In an effort to maintain the standard configuration
of matching room number and telephone numbers, the following assignment
of numbers will be given.
Children’s Hospital
7th floor: 876-47_ _ (room number) 7_ _ (example: room 758 would
be 876-4758)
8th floor: 876-48 _ _
MUH
2nd through 9th floors: 876-3 _ _ _ (example: room 264 would
be 876-3264)
10th floor: 876- 30 _ _ (example: room 1005 would be 876-3005)
The phones will be switched during regular business hours. Written
notification will be provided to patients and the printed numbers will
be replaced on each phone by University Communications staff. Each telephone
will experience a very short outage of service at random times throughout
the day. |
