HCC's Survivor Walk to benefit Camp BluebirdFrom the moment of a cancer diagnosis, a person is a survivor, but survival is the result of a daily battle. There can be physical and emotional exhaustion on the part of both the survivor and caregivers. Spending the weekend at Camp Bluebird provides a break. Since 1992, Camp Bluebird offers a unique experience for adults with cancer—a time away for listening and learning, for sharing and caring.Help is needed to bring Camp Bluebird to cancer survivors. Supported entirely by donations, a walk has been set up to help raise funds for Camp Bluebird. The “Survivor Walk” will begin at 10 a.m. March 27 at Fort Moultrie National Park—1214 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island. Registration fee, which includes a T-shirt, is $15 per person with the walker required to raise a minimum of $150. Preregistration is required. Instructions
