Meeting to form a Charleston Chapter of the ACRP to be held April 1Efforts to form a Charleston Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) are currently underway at MUSC. Chapter membership is open to all clinical research professionals at MUSC as well as the research community. The next chapter meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., April 1, in room 336 of the north tower.The ACRP is an international professional organization with more than17,000 members, sponsoring regular meetings, conferences, educational sessions, certification programs, and forum activities. Membership benefits include a variety of opportunities for clinical research professionals to improve relevant skills and expertise for clinical research coordinators, clinical research associates, clinical research investigators, project managers, and others. Professional certifications are also available through the ACRP including preparatory courses and examinations for CRCs, CRAs and CRIs. The closest location for the next preparatory course review is scheduled in Alexandria, Va., on July 27.
