to address workshop participants in the Czech Republic and Dallas, Texas.
Uflacker’s presentation dealt with radiological intervention treatment of pulmonary embolism. This usually involves very sick patients. Less invasive radiological treatments now employ mechanical thrombolectomy and thrombolytic therapy infusion to deliver clot-busting drugs into the pulmonary circulation. Uflacker’s lecture was followed by a five-minute period of questions and answers. Friday, June 11, 2004
