Health care professionals to discuss care of obese patients

A seminar entitled, “Healthcare Management of the Severely Obese Patient,” will be held Feb. 3 and 4 at the Charleston Riverview Hotel. 

The seminar, targeted for counselors, therapists, long-term health care administrators, nurses, dietitians and others, will provide health care professionals with current information to manage the care of severely obese patients.

The most current information on surgical treatment, safe care of the obese patient, including mobilization, wound care, nutrition, and product and equipment will be exhibited.

The seminar is sponsored by MUSC and the Low Country AHEC.
