Select Health presents $100,000 check to CRI

In February, MUSC will open the Children's Research Institute. To celebrate the grand opening, the MUSC Children's Hospital Fund will host the Rock-N-Research gala on Feb. 26, which will be held at the Hibernian Society Hall in downtown Charleston.

Chefs from some of Charleston's finest restaurants will provide food throughout the evening (Maverick Southern Kitchens, Sienna, The Sage Room, The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, The Hospitality Group, and Anson's). The party will be capped off with an acoustical set performed by a celebrity entertainer.

In keeping with the rock(n) research theme, small wooden rocking horses have been hand built and painted by either local artists or celebrities from around the country and will be auctioned during a silent auction held at the event.

These celebrities and artists include: Tiger Woods, Dan Marino, John Doyle, Wes Frazier, Sharon Stone, Adam Sandler, and Jonathan Greene.
