Meet...Tina
Name: Tina Marie Pinckney.
Department: Stomatology
(periodontics).
How
long at MUSC: 12 years.
Branch of the military: In 1980,
I joined the Army for three years and then went into the Army National
Reserve for 18 months. In 1984 I was stationed at Charleston Air
Force Base with the Air Force Reserve. In February 1982, I joined the
315th Medical Group.
Which was your favorite post: While
I was stationed in Germany, I toured Europe, but my favorite place is
home.
Family: Husband, Raymond;
daughter, Valerie; and nephew, Michael.
Favorite reading: The New
Testament and anything on women’s health.
Fondest childhood memory: Riding
to Colorado Springs, Colo., and seeing the Clydesdale horses when I was
7 years old.
Bad habits: Saying yes when I
should say no and not reading a daily Bible scripture.
How do you stay fit: Fork
lifting (lifting my fork to my mouth).
What is your biggest challenge:
Fasting and getting out of debt.
Something people don’t know about you: I’d
rather be wronged than to do wrong to someone else.
Experience in the military that has
meant the most to you: Going past my 20 year enlistment.
