Benefit to support Children's Research Institute

To celebrate the grand opening of the Charles P. Darby Children's Research Institute, MUSC will host its first rock(n)research benefit, presented by Select Health of South Carolina, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Hibernian Society Hall.

Chefs from local restaurants will provide food throughout the evening and the party will be capped off with an acoustical set performed by a celebrity entertainer.

In keeping with the rock(n)research theme small wooden rocking horses were hand built and painted by either local artists or celebrities from around the country and will be auctioned during a silent auction held at the event.

The CRI was dedicated Feb. 10, and is one of 15 children's research centers in the country and among only a select handful in the Southeast.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased by calling 792-1112. All proceeds benefit the Charles P. Darby Children’s Research Institute.
