School: College of Nursing, Class of 2005.

City in which you were born: Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Favorite professor: Dr. John Welton who teaches pathophysiology; he made me think.

Favorite music: Hindi.

Favorite dish to cook: Chicken curry.

Fondest childhood memory: At home, in Kotte, playing under the mango tree with my sisters.

Bad habit: Snacking too much.

Pet peeve: Gossip.

Who inspired you to go into nursing: The nurse who cared for a loved one.

How do you relax from school stress: Dog training with Primo, my German Shepherd.

Honors you have received while at MUSC: Presidential Scholar and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society, and class representative of College of Nursing honor council.

Biggest challenge: Bringing my family closer even though several oceans separate us.

Your idea of a perfect vacation: Breakfast in bed.

Something people don't know about you: I am really a daredevil at heart.
