Meet...Jeff

Meet: Jeff Wong, M.D.

Department: College of Medicine, Dean's Office.

How long at MUSC: 7 months.

City in which you were born: Madison, Wi.

Family: Wife, Lisa Preis; children, Andrew, 7, and Eva, 3.

Hobbies: Some time I would love to get back to (dry) fly fishing for trout.

Biggest challenge: Trying to stay fit.

If you could trade places with someone for a day who would you be: I would like to be a professional jazz player in a band.

Recent memorable experience: I was impressed by the White Nights in St. Petersburg, Russia last May.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Getting the opportunity to work at a new, exciting, and upwardly mobile institution in such a beautiful city.

Personality trait you admire in others: The ability to be an effective leader.

Something people don't know about you: I enjoy savoring single-malt scotches when the opportunity permits.

Something that you do that is silly but really fun: Play golf.

Somewhere you would enjoy going back to: The Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger ride with my children at Disney World.
