Meet...Tauna

Name: Tauna Eaddy.

School: Health Professions/Physical Therapy.

City in which you were born: Florence.

Favorite experience while at MUSC: Serving as a student leader and participating in a medical mission trip to South Africa.

Favorite professor: I love all of my professors, I have never met a group of professors or staff as caring as the College of Health Professions group.

Special contribution to the community while at MUSC: I have spent numerous hours volunteering and fundraising for various charities.

Plans for the future: To pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and possibly specialize in neurological physical therapy. I have a couple of job offers but I have not decided where I’m going to work.

Who influenced your choice to pursue a health care profession: My mom.

Biggest challenge: Balancing school, work and the responsibilities of being a student leader.

Idea of a perfect vacation: A cruise to Jamaica.

Personality trait you admire in others: Perseverance.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Relax.

Words of advice or favorite quote: Let life’s trials strengthen your faith, intensify your wisdom, magnify your virtues. Everything that happens in our life is for a reason. It’s a win-win battle, for in the process you became a better person and realize your purpose.
