Former resident donates to future
oral surgery lobby
On April 25, Dr. Thomas “Rusty” Reid of Mississippi, a 1984 resident of
the College of Dental Medicine, presented the college with a bust he
sculpted of Dean Emeritus Richard W. DeCham-plain, DMD. Reid revealed
the bust to DeChamplain and guests in a ceremony at the Sebring-Aimar
House.
Reid told faculty and staff he wanted to honor DeChamplain’s 26
years of service to the college in a unique and lasting way. “The
sculpture will be housed in the DeChamplain Oral Surgery Lobby in the
James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine,” said Jack Sanders, DDS,
dean, College of Dental Medicine.
