Department: International Programs, Spanish teacher.

Where you were born: Mexico City.

Family: Husband, Rusty; children, Tibor, 10, and Milos, 7, and our black Lab, Payten.

Favorite reading: “Theodosia” by Dick Cote.

Favorite room in your house: The kitchen.

Favorite song: “Viveme” by Laura Pausini.

Favorite TV show: “That’s so Raven.” My children love it so we watch it together every Friday.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Jalapenos.

Special place in the world: Bali Indonesia.

How do you stay fit: I do water aerobics.

Idea of a perfect vacation: With my family in Los Cabos, Baja, Calif.

Latest trip: Last summer’s visit to my husband’s family in Slovakia.

Most rewarding thing about your job: To meet such a diverse group of people from all over the MUSC campus.
