Department: Cardiology Research/College of Health Professions student in the Physicians Assistant program.

How long at MUSC: Since 1995.

Where you were born: Panama City, Republic of Panama.

Family: Husband, Philip; sons, Abel, 25, and Andres, 23.

Favorite TV shows: The news and soap operas.

Favorite song: “Have you really loved a woman” by Bryan Adams.

Least favorite chore: Ironing.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Something sweet.

Fondest Hispanic tradition: Carnival.

Bad habit: Shopping, shopping and more shopping.

Someone who has made a difference in the MUSC community: Susan Brooks and her late husband, Gil. They have helped so many international students and the Hispanic community.

Biggest accomplishment: Getting into the PA program.

Something people don’t know about you: I’m really romantic at heart and like love stories.

Favorite saying: What goes around comes around.
