Wellness & You campaign kicks off
with new food items
MUSC Nutrition Services announces the introduction of Wellness &
You items into the current dining menu.
Wellness & You is an innovative nutrition and health program
designed by a team of Sodexho dietitians and culinary experts. Its
purpose is to provide delicious foods that promote a healthy lifestyle.
All of the items included in this program meet standards based on the
dietary guidelines for Americans established by the United States
Department of Agriculture. Each entree serving must have no more than
550 calories, 15 grams of fat, 100 mg of cholesterol and 1,000 mg
sodium. Sodium restricted entrees have 600 mg of sodium or less.
To kick off the Wellness & You campaign and introduce some of the
new food items offered in the cafeteria, the MUSC dietetic interns will
be hosting a Wellness & You theme day Feb. 1. On this day, the hot
food line will feature selections from the program’s menu choices. To

Also watch for featured Wellness & You entrees and desserts during
March, in honor of National Nutrition Month.
