Favorite Halloween costume: The
bag lady (I have won more than $5,000 in prizes with that costume).
How long have you been doing Halloween
costumes: More than 40 years.
How many costumes do you own:
Around 30, and not one store bought.
What is your routine on Halloween at
MUSC: Display and perform every 15 minutes in a different
costume.
Person you admire most: My wife
Fran (Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine). She is very creative with
my costumes.
Dream vacation: My wife and I
are planning a world cruise (135 days).
Something people don't know about you:
My wife and I travel throughout the world. I am also the national
historian for the American Legion for Drum and Bugle Corps. My home is
a museum of drum corps.
Hobbies: Drum corps, basketball,
running and traveling.
What are you most proud of: My
son, Randy, who is going for his Ph.D.
Why goodbye to the MUSC
Halloween costume contest: I'm not retiring from work, but the desire
to perform and the energy it takes has caught up with me. The last
performance will be Halloween day, Oct. 31, in the back of the MUSC
cafeteria at 12:45 p.m. Thanks for the memories.
