Program offers nutritional class,
realistic goals
The 2006 edition of Lose to Win, the healthy lifestyle and weight loss
program sponsored by the MUSC Dietetic Interns, is proving to be a
rewarding and educational experience.
Nearly 100 people have chosen to participate and make efforts toward
building healthy habits into their busy days. Through informative
classes and resources made available during the Lose to Win program,
participants are experiencing success.
Classes have focused on learning how to set realistic and attainable
goals, how to use the new MyPyramid.gov Web site, the importance of
exercise, portion control and good food habits for successful weight
management and how to make healthy substitutions when cooking.
For the first time, class handouts and presentations are available for
access on the nutrition services Web site at
http://www.nutrition.musc.edu.
At the conclusion of the program, drawings will determine winners from
two categories: those having lost at least 6 pounds and those having
attended all six classes. Winners will be announced March 2.
