Our sweet Elsie will truly be
missed. She was an angel who touched many lives.
—Janine Mancini, R.N., PACU.
Elsie was a special person.
She touched many lives and made a difference. She said she never once
regretted being a nurse. I feel blessed to have known her.
—Connie Cornelius, R.N., PACU
In a professional sense, there
wasn’t a better nurse to care for your family member, especially a
pediatric patient. From a personal perspective, Elsie was a
kind, easy going, gentle woman who I am proud to have called my friend.
—Michele Chamberlain, R.N., PACU
Elsie was such a mentor to all
of us in PACU without pediatric experience. She made us feel
capable and more comfortable with our pediatric patients. Elsie was
also a huge Clemson fan and we had such fun watching the Tiger bowl
games.
—Caroline Williams, R.N., PACU
Elsie was a gift to us as a
professional and as a dear friend. She will be truly missed.
—Nancy Turner, R.N., PACU
Elsie was a wonderful nurse and
a great resource for our pediatric patients. I always said she
was great at beating the babies' butts (patting their bottoms to soothe
them).
—Patrice Katsanavakis, R.N.,
PACU
Elsie will be greatly missed by
all of us. She was an excellent nurse and wonderful friend. She
brought happiness into all of our lives.
—Kathy Martin, R.N., PACU
Elsie was a very giving, kind
person who never said a bad thing about anyone. She truly will
be missed by all.
—Diane Chapman, R.N., PACU
My best advice to Elsie was
“pace yourself.” If we were a little short-staffed, Mary Beth
and I would say—Oh, it’ll be all right, having Elsie here is like
having two people come in. She will be missed in so many ways.
—Joanne Marcell, R.N., PACU
Elsie was not only our co-worker
but our friend. She will be missed by everyone at MUSC.
—Sheryl Tuttle, R.N., PACU
