Medical science educators to sponsor
technological webcast series
The International Association of Medical Science Educators is
sponsoring a series of webcasts with the theme, “Innovation and
Technology in the Learning Environment.”
The webcasts are PowerPoint presentations delivered through the
Internet with live voice of the presenter by phone. After the
presentation the phone line carries all participants for a discussion
with the presenter and among the participants.
The series continues at noon April 18 in Room 202 of the Basic Science
Building. The April 18 presentation, entitled “Finding, Organizing and
Uisng Free media Resources,” will be delivered by Dr. Susan Stensaas,
from the University of Utah.
All the presentations are held at noon in Room 202 of the Basic Science
Building. Following is a list of dates and subject for the
webcasts series: April 25, Moving from Paper-Pencil to Electronic
Exams: What it Takes to Get it Done with Dr. Scott Elliott, University
of Iowa; May 2, Around the World of Course Management Systems in 60
Minutes—or Less with Dr. Matt Christian, Marshall University; May 9,
Formual for Delivering Digitized Lectures: Combine Technology, Faculty
Perception,a nd Copyright Policy then Measure the Educational Outcome
with Dr. Matt Jackson, Wayne State; and May 16, Implementing
Virtual Microscopy in Medical Education with Dr. Robert W. Ogilvie.
