It didn’t take long for Jessica Munday to find another board to preside
over. The immediate past president of the College of Health Professions
(CHP) Alumni Association took the helm of MUSC’s Joint Alumni Board on
May 19.
Munday, who served three consecutive terms as CHP’s alumni board
president, was replaced by Patricia Houser, clinical instructor and
coordinator of cytopathology for MUSC. Houser will serve two years as
president of the CHP alumni board, which coordinates alumni activities
and issues for the college’s 7,000 alumni.
The CHP alumni board comprises 11 program ambassadors, the past
president, immediate past president and sitting president. Houser, a
former board member, received her master's degree in
cytopathology from MUSC.
Munday, who owns Trio Solutions Inc. in Mount Pleasant, a planning and
marketing web service provider for health care and nonprofit entities,
will serve a year as the president of the Joint Alumni Board. The board
comprises four representatives from each of the six colleges, the board
president and the president of MUSC.
Munday has abundant board experience, having first served as president
of the Department of Health Administration chapter under the CHP alumni
association. Munday also received her master's degree in health
administration from MUSC in 1998.
MUSC has a total of 26,290 living alumni members, according to Betsy
Waters, executive director of MUSC alumni affairs.
