Information technology training
offered at TTC
Based
on the findings of a recent needs assessment conducted by the
Department of Human Resources Management, MUSC has partnered with
Trident Technical College (TTC) and Productivity Solutions and Training
(PST) to offer information technology training to MUSC/MUHA.
Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education offers
Fast Track Computer Application courses. Half-day (four hour) sessions
are provided in a information technology training facility.
MUSC/MUHA employees receive a $15 discount on books, which in many
cases will result in free materials. Training is held at Trident
Technical College’s Continuing Education Center, 2001 Mabeline Road,
North Charleston. Software applications offered at Trident Technical
College include: Access, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Day and evening
classes are available.
For employees looking for more in-depth training, Productivity
Solutions and Training, located on International Boulevard, North
Charleston, offers a wide variety of courses. Most classes are full day
sessions and offer many levels of training. PST offers classes such as
computer basics, databases spreadsheets, e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite
and web design. A detailed overview of each class is listed at
http://www.trainwithpst.com.
MUSC purchasing cards are accepted as payment for computer training
classes with Trident Technical College (Division of Continuing
Education), as well as with Productivity Solutions and Training.
Employees should indicate that they are an MUSC/MUHA employee at the
time of registration.
