MUSC Excellence at the College of Medicine/UMA

Dear Colleagues,
MUSC Excellence is now well under way in the College of Medicine and UMA. LDI #3, “Professionalism” held Sept. 7 was a success with more than 300 leaders and guests attending the session.

Our key learning objectives for the day were: Understand the importance of professionalism and the role it plays in achieving Excellence; Understand the importance that diversity has in our quest for Excellence; Understand why it’s important to outline what the culture will look like and feel like—standards set this foundation; Understand the importance of faculty and staff satisfaction; and Continue the tradition of quarterly leadership training.

The box (right) summarizes key objectives from the presentations as well as your take home assignments. Presentations from the LDI can be found on the MUSC Excellence LDI Web site at http://www.musc.edu/excellence. You need to enter your NetID and password to access the site.

Finally, LDI #4 “Performance” will be held Dec. 7 at the Omar Shrine in Mount Pleasant. Thank you for your commitment to our journey towards Excellence.

Respectfully,
