Angel Tree Program accepting
applications
The
holidays are a time that typically inspire voluntary acts of
kindness and gratitude among humanity. But when tragedy strikes or an
unexpected emergency hits people, especially coworkers and their
families, the events can be stressful and overwhelming.
Thankfully, MUSC employees, their families and other needy members of
the Lowcountry community have a place to turn during their need for
immediate help and relief.
For the third consecutive year, the MUSC family can participate with
the MUSC Angel Tree Program as part of Debi's Kid's and The Salvation
Army's Angel Tree Program to assist families during the holiday season.
Look for information about the MUSC Angel Tree Program in The Catalyst
or in the Broadcast E-mail System.
Beginning mid-October, The Salvation Army in Charleston County (2135
Ashley River Road), will be taking applications to assist families in
need this holiday season. If you know of someone or a family struggling
and in need, encourage them to apply for this year's program.
Eligible applicants must bring the following documents to apply: valid
drivers license or picture ID, Social Security cards for all members in
the household, children's birth certificates, proof of expenses (old
bills), and proof of income (check stubs).
Applications are accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 - 24, Oct. 26
and Oct. 29 - Nov. 1, Nov. 5, and Nov. 7- 9.
For information, call The Salvation Army at 763-9881.
