Not pictured are Dr. Ian King, Carissa Carie, CPNP; and Samantha Jackson. Children’s Services Gastroenterology and Nutrition clinic in West Ashley is staffed with two physicians, R. Bhanu V. Pillai, M.D., director, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology/Nutrition; and a new pediatric gastroenterologist, Ian Kang, M.D.   The full-service nursing staff includes two certified gastroenterology registered nurses, two certified pediatric nurse practitioners, three registered nurses, one licensed practical nurse and a clinical assistant.   The clinic, which is part of the Medical University Hospital Authority, has seven exam rooms, on-site blood draws, and routine X-ray services. The clinic’s opening signals an expansion of services at Children’s Hospital, while enabling specialists to see more patients, Pillai said.   Appointment times currently extend from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The clinic is located on the second floor of the MUSC Bone and Joint Center at 2125 Charlie Hall Blvd. across from TV Channel 5.
