Nominations solicited for Earl B.
Higgins awards
MUSC’s
Office of Student Diversity is accepting nominations for the 2007 Earl
B. Higgins Award. Established to honor a former director of minority
affairs, the award acknowledges persistence and dedication to positive
contributions to diversity enhancement on the campus, either in the
colleges, the university or in MUHA.
The 2007 Earl B. Higgins awards will be presented at a reception from 4
to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the Wickliffe House.
Nominees for two separate awards are invited:
- The Earl B. Higgins 2007 Achievement in Diversity Award; and
- The Earl B. Higgins 2007 Student Leadership in Diversity
Award.
Nominations must include the nomination form, and two letters of
endorsement on 8 1/2 x 11 paper for each nomination. Attach letters of
endorsement to the nomination form.
Submissions must be received by noon Friday, Feb. 9. Electronic
submissions to skaggs@musc.edu are recommended. Winners will be
