COM/UMA embark on MUSC Excellence
journey
More than 260 participants of the College of Medicine (COM) and
University Medical Associates (UMA) began their journey towards MUSC
Excellence as they attended their first Leadership Development
Institute (LDI) at the Charleston Area Convention Center on Feb. 23.
Guided by COM/UMA’s MUSC Excellence Steering Committee, the program was
organized to initiate and develop leaders, as well as establish
COM/UMA’s plans to create Service Excellence teams, implement a
leadership evaluation system and provide leadership development.
"Studer
coaches and their methods are proven in their ability to transform some
of the finest medical schools and hospitals to become even better, and
we believe that by using these tools MUSC will have the ability to
achieve our ambitions to become one of the best medical schools,
medical practices and hospitals in the country,” said Jerry Reves,
M.D., dean of the College of Medicine.
