Employees must change password by
Sept. 24
Don’t
lose access to the MUSC computer systems. MUSC employees' MNA,
LYNX, and WebApps accounts are being merged. The merged account is
known as NetID.
MUSC is changing the way computer accounts are managed. The changes
will reduce the number of passwords employees will have to remember and
improve the network’s security.
Users must activate their NetID by Sept. 24. If employees do not
activate their account, access to PPP/VPN (off-campus access);
WebAdvisor; WebCT; MyRecords; LYNX workstations; WebApps;
PREMISE; File storage/Homeroom; IMAP e-mail; Exchange e-mail; and other
MNA resources will be lost.
To activate your NetID, visit http://netid.musc.edu
and follow the instructions. After activating your NetID, log off of
the workstation and re-login. Allow up to an hour for the new password
to propagate to all affected resources.
If employees are not sure if their NetID was activated, check it at https://www.carc.musc.edu/netid_status.
For information, visit http://www.musc.edu/infoservices/idam/netid/GuidetoNetID.pdf
or e-mail questions to ocio-idms@musc.edu.
