Meet...Gale
Name:
K. Gale O’Neal.
Department:
University Human
Resources Management.
How long at MUSC: 4 months.
Least favorite chore: Finding a
dead bug and having to get rid of it.
Ingredient you must have in your
refrigerator: Hazelnut coffee creamer.
Fondest childhood memory: Waking
up before sunrise on Christmas morning with my siblings and running
into a trap my dad had set up (pie tins on a string blocking the
hallway) so that we would run scared back to bed for a while—it worked.
Biggest challenge: Remembering
that things are not purely black or white–there are many shades of
grey.
If you could trade places with someone
for a day, who would you be: The president of a philanthropic
organization.
Memorable trip: Being awakened
from a sound sleep at 3 a.m. while on safari by a hippo rubbing against
my tent.
Personality trait you admire in others:
Remaining calm and collected under fire.
Interesting fact about myself:
I’ve lived in France, been to Africa many times, and was in the
miniseries, “North and South.”
Historical event you would have like to
have witnessed: Watching the Allied Forces march down the
Champs Elysee in 1944.
Best thing about working at MUSC:
My HR colleagues and the staff with whom I come into contact.
