MUSC Excellence at the College of Medicine/UMA

Employee Web site announced at LDI

One of the “Wins” announced at the College of Medicine/UMA Leadership Development Institute held on Nov. 21 was the establishment of an MUSC Excellence Web site for all College of Medicine and UMA employees.

The project was undertaken by the Communications Team with the purpose of “connecting the dots” for employees and ensuring that employees understand the reason for and efforts behind establishing a culture of excellence through MUSC Excellence.

The Communication Team has been coordinating with the other service teams (Standards, Employee & Faculty Satisfaction, Leadership Evaluation and Measurement, Reward and Recognition, and Measurement—Patient Satisfaction) to develop means by which the progress as an organization can be communicated to employees at all levels. Development of the Employee Web site takes the lead in these efforts.

The site functions as an introduction to MUSC Excellence as well as providing specific information about the organization’s direction, including committee structure and membership. The dean’s Excellograms can all be accessed through the site, along with information for Communication Boards, organizational wins, training tools and videos. Progress toward MUSC's organizational goals is tracked monthly, and will be available to all employees through this Web site.

The Web site address is http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/com1/comumaexcellence/index.htm.
