Meet...Willa

Name: Willa Rodriguez.

Department: Housekeeping at the Harper Student Wellness Center.

How long have you been at MUSC: 9 months.

What did you want to be when you were growing up: A high school basketball coach.

First job: Hardees on James Island.

Most rewarding aspect of your job: When people come up to me and say, “Thank you,” and I say, “For what?” and they say, “For keeping this place so clean.”

Least favorite chore: Cleaning toilets at home.

Item you must have in your refrigerator: Beer. Gotta have my Bud!

Bad habit: Smoking.

Pet peeve: People who tinkle on the toilet seat and leave it there.

Something people don’t know about you: When I was younger, I made it to the state Hula Hoop Championships and placed second.

Favorite saying: You ain’t old ‘til you’re cold.

If you were the U.S. president for a day, you would ...: Since I couldn’t solve the economy or the world’s problems in a day, I’d go out and pop a beer on any street I wanted to.
